Dear Salon Visage,
Thank you so much for your donation to our annual fundraiser. It was a wonderful evening and a huge success!
We really appreciate your support. Many of our patients have told us how pleased they were at your salon. (they love Doreen!)

at Kent Hospital
I have had the pleasure of working closely with Doreen Pilozzi for 2 1/2 years. I came to her from another city looking for someoe who would work with me. My hair was a mess of unruly and odd colored pieces. She came up with a plan to slowly change my root color and lighten over all as have all white hair. She added high lights and low lights and it became a much more natural and flattering color. Thank you for taking such good care of me my friend.
To Salon Visage
I was diagnosed with breast cancer, and Kent Breast Center referred me to Doreen.
This Wonderful compassionate woman made it very easy and comforting for me to go through the transition of choosing a wig and shaving my hair off. I will refer anyone i know or don't know to her. This quality is very rare in this day and time.
Doreen, I want to say thank-you from the bottom of my heart for making this long weary journey a lot easier. i also intend on you being my hairdresser after this Chemo gives me some hair. I cant thank you enough.
PS. First wig off the rack she knew was me, first time she ever met me. Amazing. I am very picky.
I always look forward to my appointment at Salon Visage.
Whether its for my hair with Doreen or my nails with Janelle I know I'll be treated by professional people in a relaxing setting
I just wanted to thank you for all of your help. You made a difficult time much easier for me. You made me feel very comfortable and relaxed. I can't thank you enough for that. Thank you again.
I was someone who prided herself on rarely being sick. I hardly ever missed a day of work. I was very healthy! However, in December of 2012, I was diagnosed with Stage 2 Aggressive Breast Cancer. i was shocked and overwhelmed! The next year of my life was suddenly planned out, starting with Chemotherapy in the next couple of weeks.
I was told I would lose my long blond hair after the 2nd or 3rd treatment. I was in denial. Reality soon set in, however, and I knew I wanted to get a wig before that happened. I worked in sales and I didn't want my clients to know of my condition. I needed something as close to my own hair as possible.
A friend suggested Salon Visage and I had also seen and brochure at the hospital. I called to make an appointment, letting Doreen aware of the circumstances. She was very warm and friendly on the phone and she was able to fit me in the next night after my work at 7pm.
Although I was uncomfortable with the situation, I was immediately comfortable with Doreen. She was lovely and very understanding. It was obvious that she had lots of experience dealing with cancer patients.
That first time, she took me to a private area in the salon that she curtained off so that we had privacy. We tried many wigs, but I was pretty much a basket case, unable to make a decision, upset that i even needed a wig. Doreen could not have been more patient or compassionate, and we made another appointment. It was laughingly suggested that we bring wine and cheese next time...and we did.
This time, the entire salon was totally closed except for my friend, myself and Doreen. The wine did help calm me, and we all laughed a lot, and finally I was able to make a decision on a wig. The color was perfect. But I wanted it trimmed a lot more. Doreen wanted to make sure we didn't lose the integrity of the wig. This made me laugh so much. Finally she said "Whatever Lola wants" and we named the wig Lola.
A week later, my hair started to fall out in my hand. The time had come. I went to her again after closing and in private, she shaved my head. It was pretty traumatic. We laughed and cried and hugged. And I was so relieved that my beautiful wig "Lola" was waiting for me.
I would recommend anyone going through this ordeal to visit Doreen at Salon Visage. She made a very difficult time not only bearable, but actually enjoyable.
And now that my hair has grown back differently after many months, she is getting me to look good through all the many stages, ..curly, curly..wavy, and now straight. We still laugh a lot! She is a gift!
Your Salon is really cool... it makes you feel ALIVE when you walk in!
